Questions parents ask
Does Cinefun see my videos?
No. There are no servers and no accounts. Cinefun never asks for photo-library permission. You hand it individual videos and it stores private copies on your device only.
I bought Cinefun Unlimited. Why is it locked on my partner's phone?
Check that Family Sharing and purchase sharing are turned on in your family's Apple Account settings, then tap “Restore purchases” in Cinefun's parent settings.
I got a new phone and my library is empty.
Your originals are safe in the Photos app. Cinefun only keeps its own copies, and for privacy reasons those stay on the old device by default. Re-adding your favorites from the parent area takes about a minute. If you'd rather include Cinefun's copies in device backups, you can turn that on in Advanced settings.
I forgot my parent PIN.
On the PIN screen, tap “Forgot PIN?” and confirm with Face ID or your device passcode. You'll be able to set a new PIN right away, without losing any videos.
Do Live Photos work?
Yes. Turn them on in Advanced settings and they get added as their short video clip.
What does it cost?
Free for your first videos. One purchase unlocks unlimited, with no subscription, and it covers your whole family.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. That's the whole point. The full privacy policy runs one paragraph, because there's nothing to disclose.
