Common questions
I forgot my parent PIN
On the PIN screen, tap “Forgot PIN?” and confirm with Face ID or your device passcode. You can then set a new PIN immediately. No videos are lost.
I bought Unlimited but another family member's phone is still locked
Make sure Family Sharing is on and purchase sharing is enabled in your family's Apple Account settings. Then, on the other phone, open the parent area and tap “Restore purchases.”
I reinstalled or got a new phone and my library is empty
Your original videos are safe in the Photos app. Cinefun keeps its own private copies, and by default those are excluded from device backups for privacy, so they don't travel to a new phone. Open the parent area and re-add your favorites. If you'd prefer the copies to be included in future backups, turn that on in Advanced settings.
A video wouldn't add
Cinefun skips videos that are very large or very long, and it will tell you which limit was hit. Videos stored in iCloud may need a moment to download first. If you're short on space, turn on “Save space: import at 720p” in Advanced settings.
Live Photos aren't showing up in the picker
Turn on “Include Live Photos” in Advanced settings. They're added as their short video clip, never as a still image.
Sound isn't playing
Cinefun starts muted every time it opens, on purpose. Tap the speaker button, or press a volume button. Sound also follows your phone's silent switch.
How do I delete videos?
Open the parent area, tap “Saved videos,” then swipe a video to remove it — or tap Edit to select several and remove them together. Removing a video from Cinefun never affects the original in your Photos app.
